A LOVER DENIED

She closed her eyes wanting to see
The days with you that passed like a dream
It seemed so long since she held you last
At every opportunity she seemed to pass
Knowing that the moment would surely fade
Knowing that you would never stay

Another day rises with the sun
She sighs a want to turn and run
You drained the tears from her eyes
With soothing words and vicious lies
Her heart sits empty, a mind with no dreams
From your prison she can never break free

A PAST IN DARKNESS

History is a nightmare from which I am trying to awake
A time in my life which away from I should break
The pain in my heart
The sorrow in my mind
An exit out of darkness I have to find

My past and present mix into one
Should I live a life of fun
I know a life of shadows
I know a world of hate
Finding happiness, I am far to late

There should be a time, where love is true
A love so strong between me and you
Will these dreams only dwell in my head
Will these feelings linger in my veins
I lay to the ground wounded, but not yet slain
